Endgods - Game Review

When it comes to game developing, developers’ dreams far exceed their ability to deliver so you literally should not expect reasonable practicality from them. Endgods has somehow turned players into “eat, sleep, play Endgods” mode. The point being that when a game developer promises you the moon, you should expect a star at best, except in the case of Endgods. I was among the first lucky few to hands-on the game, first thought, “okay.. It’s just deploying heroes, how enticing can it get?”, I was totally wrong. It’s so crazy, so heart racing, and it doesn’t even give you enough time to curse and swear. That’s how Endgods is! They successfully managed to jam-pack everything they ever could possibly stick into a game, totally insane!

You need brains and ability to strategize. This goes for the difficulty, also, this game is brutally unforgiving. Make a wrong deployment and die, unless, like I said, if you have the brains. It really isn’t as easy as you think, at such uptight duel, if you need to turn your game around, you really need to think fast, act fast and hope for the very least you’re good at timing your combos.

How to control? Muscles. (tip of day: good or bad, remain calm throughout the game. I’ve suffered finger cramps for continuous jabbing of finger on the poor screen, I’ve upgraded to using thumbs), or for PC mode, use the mouse. Touch or click on your heroes and deploy them onto the lanes. That’s the only easy part of it.

The asynchronous integration is great as you can fight against your peers and other players around the world in real time. Thankfully, you can also replay the Campaign to earn extra gold to fund your fights in the World PvP, you don’t have to part with your cash.

There’s loads to do, starting off with the Campaign which consists of 25 stages divided into 3 islands, personally I feel the islands are divided based on difficulty. Don’t expect to clear the stages within the 1st try and if you think you can outsmart it by memorizing the game’s deployment to beat it next, forget it. Developers have created it in such a way every time you replay, its a different deployment setting. You will need to spend some time with this game to complete the Campaign. Next comes League of Gods, free to play, only reward you get is climbing up the leaderboard. Everyone is in it! Every season there are prize money to be won. (stay tune, I will keep you informed) Heck, you’ll need to put a great effort in even to make significant progress through League of Gods because it is a challenge, real challenge. World PvP has 4 maps to it, developers are kind enough to open up a map specially for the noobs, it’s free. The remaining maps require gold and gems. World PvP has a leaderboard too! Also, for those who wish to have a few rounds with your friends, there’s a Friend PvP mode.

If you loved the adrenaline rush, you owe it to yourself to check this out. But this gameplay is definitely more for the hardcore player who doesn’t mind repetition and the high level of challenge. This was a game I started easy then intensity kicks in. The rewards for the skilled and/or patient are immense, because this game has so much satisfaction, it’s absurd. What’s more, it’s FREE!
